8. PARTNERSHIP IN BUSINESS AND MARRIAGE

It very often happens that two rival employees in important positions, or two business partners, although successful as individuals, are unable to collaborate. In such a case graphological analysis can either ensure one partner's greater appreciation of the personality of the other, or show that both are so different in their personalities and opinions that they must establish a new basis of collaboration.

If we ask ourselves in connection with Samples 50 and 51 why any partnership seems to be out of the question we shall arrive at the following facts: Both men are capable and efficient in their own way, but the difference between their personalities is too great to be overbridged. The writer of Sample 50 is correct to the point of being pedantic, preferring a quiet steady business procedure which follows a tradition of small safe profits.

The writer of Sample 51 is much more versatile, enterprising, daring and speculative, is inclined to effect modern business methods and transacts his business on a large scale. He has little feeling for tradition, and in the long run prefers considerable profits at great risks to small and safely calculated gains.

Their characters are of such difference, and their business methods are so much opposed to each other, that they will be always at cross purposes. In such a case as this the graphological analysis will enable the two partners to decide whether or not their personalities and views are so divergent that they cannot possibly be reconciled, and if they are, how to effect a friendly separation.

To take a different type of partnership: if two people are planning to be married it is usually advisable to consult the graphologist, although we must admit that in such an event either case should receive the most delicate and responsible handling on the part of the graphologist. It is not the object of such an analysis to bring two people together or to separate them, but simply to prepare them for the greatest understanding and appreciation of each other that they can possibly feel.

Here we will give a typical example—the handwritings of two people who are engaged.

Sample 52 shows the handwriting of the man who is skilled and well trained although somewhat indulgent and very emotional. The round and connected traits discover his most adaptable and pliable nature. He is not quick in his decisions, easily influenced, depending partly on the opinions of others. Sample 53 shows the writing of a girl who is very self-assured and possessive; the vertical writing and the heavy down strokes coupled with angular lower loops mirror her obstinacy and desire to have her own way at all costs. Whether this will be a good match is more than doubtful, because their handwritings indicate that the girl will dominate the man and further impede his basically weak nature, retarding any possible development by making him self-conscious and consequently unhappy.

In this case the graphologist can advise these two young people to reconsider very seriously before they come to any decision.

Not only when marriage is being contemplated, but also during the course of married life, a serious conflict or important situation may arise which would make it expedient to consult a graphologist.
